Technical Installation Guide
- Clean floor slab thoroughly, removing any excess concrete from the surface.
- Check floor for moisture and either dry off excess or treat with a proprietary damp proof treatment.
- Roll out the E-Cousti Ecobase lapping it up the perimeter walls and doorways by at least 100mm. At corners cut out a 45 degree piece to form a tight fit and tape using a suitable resilient tape.
- Roll out the next roll, either overlapping the previous one by at least 150mm, or closely butt joint and tape, ensuring there are no gaps.
- Any services penetrating the floor should be wrapped in E-Cousti Ecobase and the joints taped, ensuring there are no gaps.

|
- When laying the screed ensure that it does not penetrate between or under the joints. The screed must not touch either the structural floor or any of the perimeter walls.
- Prior to fitting plasterboards and skirting boards fold over the protruding E-Cousti Ecobase and rest the boards on top so that all hard surfaces are isolated from each other and from the screed.
- Trim the E-Cousti Ecobase with a sharp knife and finish with E-Cousti Fix and Seal.
